  • Area Elections - How to Vote

    On Saturday November 15th 2014, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) will hold the General Local Government Election.

     REALLY COUNTS this year so please make the effort to vote!

    Included here is all of the information regarding why you should vote and instructions on how to vote.

    Important dates to note -
    NOVEMBER 7- Deadline to Request a “Mail in Ballot” 
    NOVEMBER 5 AND 12 - Vote in person at the advance polls at Beaverdell or Rock Creek
    NOVEMBER 15 - Actual VOTING DAY at the White Crystal Inn, Big White, 8am - 8pm

    Anyone with an interest in Big White AND a right to vote needs to - 

    a) Pick the candidate who has Big White’s interests always in mind.

    b) Even more importantly, demonstrate to the provincial government that we have an engaged and active community so we can successfully start to explore Resort Municipality and other Governance Options for our future as soon as the elections are over.

    c) Show the successful and unsuccessful candidates that Big White DOES have a voter base and is worth paying attention to!

    Three candidates have thrown their name into the race for Regional Director Area E (which includes Big White) at the upcoming Municipal Elections on November 15th 2014:

    Bill Baird - incumbent

    Vicki Gee - Bridesville 

    Bill Bosovich - Rock Creek
